DeriBoard is a discussion board for all people that are interested in financial derivatives with a strong focus on financial options.
I got in touch with financial options in the year 2000 when I started the carrear at university in Zurich. I met some other students that knew some stuff about it and motivated me to enter the fascinating world of financial options.
At the beginnging it was fantastic, I won money just from the start. I felt as I were a great trader. Later on, the market showed me the realty. Everything I won, I lost in just a few days. What a feeling of disillusionment!
This was my first lession and the start of my passion. Meanwhile, I studied lot of books, I developed a tool for the analysis of risk profiles and I do not get more surprised by the behaviour of options. (Not saying nothing about the behaviour of the market...)
